In a pair of exhibition games versus NCAA Division II teams last week Fankhouser, a sophomore transfer this season, scored in double-figures both outings. Against the NCAA II No. 5-ranked West Texas A&M team, Fankhouser had 10 points and five rebounds. Versus Lubbock Christian he had team-leading totals of 12 points and seven rebounds on his ledger.
 
Fankhouser was also efficient in his efforts. He hit eight of his 14 field goal attempts, giving him an impressive 57.1 shooting percentage for the week, averaging 11.0 points and 6.0 rebounds for the set of games.
