Senior pitcher Kaylor Battiest (2-0) got the season started in a BIG way for OPSU by throwing a no-hitter in the opener, a 12-0 win over the University the Southwest. Battiest also got a win on Sunday in a combined shutout. For the weekend, she struck out 16 foes in her 9.0 innings of work over.
