Maurice Waters makes a splash in his first three games as a Panhandle State Aggie, with two down in Plainview, Texas and the home opener at Anchor D. In his first two games, Waters scored 18 and 13 points, respectively, on a total of 11 of 18 shooting from the field to go alongside 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. In his first game in front of the Aggie faithful, he put up 16 points shooting 64% from the field, with 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Overall, Waters averaged 15.7 PPG, 62.0 FG%, and 6.7 REB in the men’s basketball opening week.
