William Sirmans, Track & Field
GOODWELL, Okla. Oklahoma Panhandle State University Athletics has named track & field's Ki'Anna Jones and William Sirmans as the final Mack's Motorsports Aggies of the Week in the 2025-26 year from April 27 through May 3.
In a weekend divided into three separate meets for the track & field teams, Jones and the running crew went to Lawrence, Kansas, to compete in the Rock Chalk Classic at the University of Kansas. There, Jones enjoyed success as she posted the Aggies' best time of the season and an OPSU personal record in the 800-meters with a time of 2:25.51, ending her season in style on Saturday.
As the sprinters went to Lawrence, several men's throwers went south to Lubbock, Texas, on Thursday to compete in the Corky/Crofoot Shootout at Texas Tech University. The throwers capped a great season with another solid weekend, which was led by Sirmans as he threw a mark of 37.26 meters in the javelin, earning himself a sixth-place finish. Then in the hammer throw, Sirmans posted a personal best by over three meters with a mark of 39.06 meters in the season finale for the senior.
