GOODWELL, Okla-The Aggies softball team competed Saturday afternoon against the Lions from Langston University. Aggies would sweep the four-game series before winning both games on Friday afternoon and taking both games on Saturday (12-0) and (13-0), ending in run-ruled.
Game One
Senior
Sarah Conley took the rubber Saturday afternoon. Conley received her seventh win of the season, tossing three innings allowing two hits, and striking out three. Sophomore
Rylin Baker and Junior
Toni Shawnee came out of the bullpen to shut down the Lions and would seal the shutout.
Sarah Conley got the Aggies on the board with a single to score two runs in the first inning.
In the second inning, Freshman
Marissa Obregon doubled down the left field line to scoring in a run, pushing the lead 9-0.
The Aggies finished with six hits, and four players recorded a stolen base in the first game.
Game Two
Junior
Kenley Yocom toed the rubber in the second game. Yocom tossed three innings, allowing three hits, zero runs, and striking out four.
Rylin Baker and Junior
Koral Sylestine came and would again shut down Lion's bats.
The Aggies scored two runs in the first two innings, and the Aggies had a big 3rd inning scoring nine runs off of six hits.
Four different Aggies would steal a base during the game, finishing with ten hits as a team, three being extra-base hits.
Aggies will head to Oklahoma City with a conference matchup against Mid-America Christian University, first pitch at 2:00 PM.
