GOODWELL, Okla- The Aggies Softball team faced off against Texas Wesleyan University in a weekend series in Fort Worth, TX, where, unfortunately, they dropped both games to the Rams.
In the series first game, the Rams took an early 2-0 lead over the Aggies in the third inning. However, the Aggies fought back in the 5th inning when
Chloe Browning doubled to right center, bringing in a run.
Karsyn Coleman followed up with a single, scoring Browning. Despite the Aggies' efforts, the Rams regained the lead in the 6th inning with a home run.
Kenley Yocom started for the Aggies, delivering another solid performance, tossing a complete game for six innings, allowing three runs off of seven hits.
Moving on to the second game,
Nicole Peralta gave the Aggies a 1-0 lead in the second inning with a double to right center. However, the Rams responded in the bottom of the inning, tying the game and eventually taking the lead in the 4th inning.
Kaycee Torres pitched a complete game for the Aggies.
Despite the losses, the Aggies prepare to head to Langston, OK, to compete in the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic hosted by Langston University. Their first game is scheduled for 10:00 AM against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, followed by a matchup against Bethel College (KS) at 12:30 PM.
