Goodwell, OK—The Aggies softball team took a commanding sweep against the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lions this Friday afternoon. The Aggies topped the Lions in a doubleheader, winning the first game 9-4 and the second 14-5.
Game 1 Highlights:
The opener caught the Aggies fall behind early, with the Lions leading 4-2 by the third inning. Meagan Bellar doubled to left center, bringing in Nicole Peralta for the first run. Melissa Carroll singled down the left field line, bringing Bellar home and putting the Aggies on the scoreboard with a solid start.
The Aggies then took control from the fourth inning ahead, with critical players such as Marissa Obregon and Olivia Woytiuk contributing crucial RBIs, securing a 9-4 victory.
 Koral Sylestine earned the win, pitching a solid seven innings with ten hits, four runs, and three strikeouts.
Game 2 Highlights:
The second game started with the Lions taking an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning. However, the Aggies quickly responded, with Audi Pettaway and Nicole Peralta hitting home runs to dramatically shift the momentum. 
The first inning ended with the Aggies leading 9-3, setting the tone for the remainder of the game.
The Aggies continued to build on their lead with consistent batting performances. Pettaway, Bellar, and Browning extended the lead, showcasing the depth of the Aggies' batting lineup.
 With a 5.0-inning pitch, Toni Shawnee secured her second win of the season.
Looking Ahead:
The OPSU Aggies, now gaining momentum, will take their confidence and skill to McPherson, KS, where they are scheduled to face Central Christian College in a four-game series on April 5th and 6th.
