OPSU Hosts Open Cheerleader Tryouts

Goodwell, Okla.The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggie Cheer Team will host an open tryout on Friday, Dec.5 at 6 p.m. in the Noble Activity Center on the OPSU campus.
Males and females interested in becoming a part of the spirited Aggie Cheer Team are invited to try out for the spring squad in front of a panel of judges. Participants must be enrolled at OPSU full-time for the spring semester and carry at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average.
Registration and a mandatory practice session will be held Thursday, Dec.4 from 7:30-10 p.m. in the Noble Center; those wishing to try out for the team must be in attendance. During the practice session participants will learn a dance and several cheers to be performed in front of the judges on Friday; stunting, jumps and tumbling will also be reviewed.
Participants should come wearing shorts, t-shirts and athletic shoes, and each person will need to provide proof of insurance as well as complete a liability waiver during registration.
