Espitia steps down from OPSU competitive cheer

GOODWELL, Okla. Oklahoma Panhandle State University Head Cheer Coach Allyn Espitiahas resignedfrom his position, effective June 2nd, it has been announced. The Aggies' team just finished the 2020-21 season supporting Aggie Teams at home and at away events,and recently,the cheer team ledthe Aggies in the Pioneer Day Parade.
"We thank Coach Espitia for all he did for our competitive cheer team this spring,"said Director of Athletics,Victor Esparza. "We wish him all the best in the future and, at the same time, are committed to building up our program for our current student-athletes, as well."
A search for a replacement will begin immediately.
