Mens Golf at Hesston GC Spring Shootout

HESSTON, Kan. Themen'sgolf team competed in the Hesston GC Spring Shootout, hosted by Tabor College. The Aggies finished fifth out of nineteams in a competitive three-round tournament, posting a total score of +89.

OPSU'sleader was Paul Mercado, who placed 7th individually with a stellar performance and finished at +17 for the tournament. Mercado carded rounds of 75 (+4), 74 (+3), and 81 (+10.).

Worathan Thammachokecharoen followed, securing the 18th individual finish with a total score of +22 (77, 74, 84).

Competing as an individual, Lance Addington finished in twentieth with a +23 score (78, 77, 81). Caleb White finished 26th with a score of +26 (83, 79, 77).

Other OPSU competitors included Thantup Saengvut (+27, 80, 77, 83) and Xavyer Mosqueda (+33, 80, 80, 86),

Team Standings and Statistical Highlights:

• OPSU ranked fourth in total pars with 134.
• The Aggies finished fifth in total birdies with 18.
• In Par3scoring, OPSU placed fourth with a 3.55 average.
• On Par 4s, OPSU tied for third with an average of 4.47.
• In Par5scoring, OPSU ranked fifth, averaging 5.31 strokes.

One of the key highlights of the tournament was ThantupSaengvut'sexceptional performance on Par 5s. He led all players with an average of 4.67 (-3 overall).
