Cross Country races at Lubbock Christian

LUBBOCK, TX-The Oklahoma Panhandle State University cross country teams headed south to compete at Lubbock Christian University. The Aggies competed against NAIA programs such as University of the Southwest and Division II colleges; Western Texas, Lubbock Christian, University of Texas-Permian Basin, Eastern New Mexico, and Fort Lewis College.
The top finishers for the Aggies were once again Vanessa Gonzalez (22:57) and Carlos Flores(35:49). Gonzalez would place 33rd in the women's 5K while Flores would place 46th in the men's 8K. The rest of the women's times are as follows, Molly Jones (25:17), Patti Gray(25:45), Annette Gandara(22:22), Veronica Ray(27:52), and Rayne Quinones(30:18). For the men, Zack Madrigal(36:18), Nate Lopez(38:37), Austin Jacobs(42:35), and Hayden Boyd(44:08).
Head Coach Jared Mayeda had nothing but praise for his athletes over the weekend success. Every Aggie runner beat their personal record, saying, "every meet, we have taken a giant step forward. If we can keep getting a little better every day, we will be in a great spot. Very proud of this special group of athletes."
