Head coach Cyrus Hall pointed out after themeet"We are still getting in shape, so we only ran three guys and no women. I thought we ran OK for a season opener, and there are some things to be encouraged about.
The guys panickeda little bitearly, thinking they were too far back, and got out too fast in the first mile. It made the last three miles an absolute grind. So, we areprobablyabout 45 seconds to a minute faster than weactuallyran.
But the good news is that they look ready totake a jump from last year. Wemay actually be better than we were last yearonce we add the other guys in.
We'llget backto work for a couple of weeks before headingupto Las Vegas to run at altitude."
Upcoming:The Aggies will race in the New Mexico Highlands XC Jam, hosted by New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM, on September 27th.
