OPSU Cross Country Teams Head for Hays

Goodwell, Okla.With a few weeks of preparation under their belts, the men's and women's cross country teams of Oklahoma Panhandle State University are ready to get back in the race this weekend as they head to Hays, Kan. for a meet hosted by Fort Hays State University.
The FHSU Tiger Open will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Sand Plum Trail near the town of Victoria. The men will compete on an eight-kilometer course and the women will tackle the 5k trail.
Coach Jason Miner looks forward to this meet stating, "I think it will be a great meet to see where we are at heading into the last part of our season and into conference meet. I am hoping both teams can compete with a few people and build some confidence heading into the last three weeks."
With the improvements each team has already made this season, the Aggies look to continue dropping their times individually. Theteams compete once more on Oct. 25 in Amarillo, Texas before meeting up at the Heartland Conference meet on Nov. 8 in Wichita, Kan.
