Stoesz joined the OPSU sports information department in July 2025 to lead the Aggies' athletic communication efforts.
Prior to his time at OPSU, Stoesz spent two years as an assistant SID at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where he most recently served as the primary media contact for the sports of men's/women's cross country, women's volleyball, women's basketball, men's outdoor track & field and baseball.
At Taylor, Stoesz led communication efforts surrounding the hosting of both the 2024 and 2025 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Rounds -- Upland Bracket. He also covered an individual NAIA Women's Cross Country National Champion, and he saw eight of his nominated student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-American honors and four earn NAIA National Athlete of the Week Awards.
A southern Minnesota native, Stoesz earned his bachelor's degree in communication from Bethany Lutheran College in 2022, where he was also a five-season member of the men's golf team, two-time first-team all-conference player and a participant in the 2022 NCAA Division III National Men's Golf Championships. Throughout his time at Bethany, Stoesz co-hosted the BLC Vikings podcast published to the school's athletics website and was a writer and copy editor for the school's newspaper. During his senior year, Stoesz got his start in sports information as an intern with BLC's sports information office.
