Box Score 3 Arkadelphia, Ark.—Moving on after a conference loss to Univ. of Arkansas-Fort Smith on Thursday, the Aggies continued their tour in Arkadelphia where they suffered two losses in a tri-match at Henderson State on Friday.
The first match was against Ouachita Baptist who took the Aggies in three straight sets: 25-19, 25-10, and 25-16. The Aggies managed only a .086 hitting percentage against the Lady Tigers whose leading hitter Faith Avalos brought in 10 kills and 10 points averaging .562 hitting percentage. The Aggies showed that they have a few weapons of their own with hitters
Sarah Koster and Missy Marshall who led the team with 7.5 and 5.5 points respectively. Freshman setter
Skylar Mayeux made her mark with 9 assists and 2 service aces, while libero
Nicole Fournier came out with 10 digs and 1 service ace.
Next the Aggies faced Henderson State in the second match and proved their grit by battling out five sets against the Lady Reddies. The Aggies came up short in the 3-2 loss but improved in many areas and showed they will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Juniors
Shaina Eddings and
Sarah Koster led the team in kills and points scored to make for a close margin of victory for HSU. Koster came away with 14 kills and 16.5 points, and Eddings was close behind with 13 kills and 15.5 points. Nicole Fournier finished the game with 9 assists, 7 digs, and 2 aces. OPSU won sets two (25-20) and four (27-25) while HSU won sets one, three, and five; 25-13, 25-22, and 15-11 respectively.
The Aggies worked their way back towards home with another conference match-up against Dallas Baptist University. Another hard fought contest brought the Aggies out on the losing side of a four-set match. The Aggies started strong with a 25-22 victory in the first set and then endured three straight losses to the Lady Patriots (25-6, 25-19, and 25-17). Hitters

Sarah Koster each took in 7 kills and led in scoring with a combined 23 points.
Skylar Mayeux once again dominated in assists along with junior
Terra Madden; they each contributed with 12 assists. Mayeux and Fournier led the team with 10 digs each.
Safely back in Goodwell the Aggies look ahead to inter-conference play this week against new member of the Heartland Conference Lubbock Christian on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.; and the University of Texas-Permian Basin on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m. Both games will be held in the Oscar Williams Field House and will feature live video streaming with links available through the OPSU Athletics website on the volleyball schedule page.
