Jets Take Aggies in Three Sets

Box Score Wichita, Kan.—The Aggie volleyball team continued conference play Tuesday night in Wichita, Kan. as they competed against the sixth-ranked Heartland team Newman University.

The Jets held the Aggies to four points in the first set, and although the Aggies came back fighting in sets two and three, Newman walked away with the win (25-4, 25-17, 25-14).

OPSU's leading scorer, Shaina Eddings once again led the team with six kills and received help from freshman Tayler Burzette who earned three of the team's 14 kills. Terra Madden led the team in assists with ten and shared the digging workload with Julia Ibarra and Megan Archuleta who all combined for 27 of the team's 39 digs.

The Aggies' record drops to 0-13 on the season as they look to earn a win on their home court during Homecoming week against the University of Arkansas-Monticello. The non-conference game is set for Thursday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Oscar Williams Field House.
