Box Score Goodwell, Okla—The Aggie volleyball team competed in Alva, Okla Tuesday, Oct. 14 in a challenging non-conference match against the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
The Aggies matched up well with the Rangers as each team battled point for point and pushed the first set of the match to 27-25 in favor of the Rangers. The next two sets were also good games, but unfortunately the Aggies could not keep the lead as they lost 17-25 and 18-25. OPSU had a total of 24 kills led by
Shaina Eddings with ten. There was 39 digs total and five serving aces: two from
Nicole Fournier, two from
Tayler Burzette and one from
Julia Ibarra.
The Aggies will be at home on Thursday, Oct. 16 for a Heartland Conference Match against the University of Texas-Permian Basin. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Oscar Williams Fieldhouse and it will be the Aggies pink-out match in support of breast cancer awareness. UTPB is currently ranked seventh in the Heartland Conference with an overall record of 8-10.
On Friday, Oct. 17 at 6:00 p.m. the Aggies will compete in another Heartland Conference match against Lubbock Christian University. LCU is a tough team and is currently ranked number one in the Heartland Conference with an overall record of 12-2 and a conference record of 9-1.
Aggie fans are invited to pack the Oscar Williams Field House this week and raise the roof to help the Aggies earn a win on their home court.
