Success for Aggie Volleyball

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Goodwell, Okla – Traveling to Austin, Texas was a success for the Aggie volleyball team as they conquered the Rams of Huston-Tillotson University and played St. Edwards University in a Heartland Conference match.

The Aggies earned a win Wednesday night taking three straight sets from the HTU Rams: 25-23, 25-20, 25-18. Senior Shaina Eddings finished with a season-high 18 kills and brought down four blocks in the game. Julia Ibarra led the team in assists with 11 followed by Terra Madden who contributed nine. Nicole Fournier grabbed 17 total digs as libero; Fournier and Ibarra also served up two aces apiece.

On Thursday, Oct. 23 the Aggie volleyball team competed against SEU. This match did not end as well as the HTU match did as the OPSU lost in thee: 8-25, 9-25 and 19-25. The Aggies had a total of 19 kills with Shaina Eddings contributing seven and Tayler Burzette having five. Julia Ibarra, Dejiana Rubio and Eddings were the lead defensive players contributing 23 of the 39 total digs.

Join the Aggies at home on Oct. 30 for the Halloween Spiketacular match against Heartland opponent Texas A&M International at 7:00 p.m. and another conference match-up on Nov. 1 against St. Mary's University at 12 p.m.
