The Season Finale!

Goodwell, Okla.—Gear up, Aggie Nation! It's time to knock heads one last time as the Oklahoma Panhandle State University football team travels to Plainview, Texas to stand toe-to-toe with the Wayland Baptist Pioneers. The game will commence this Saturday, November 8, at 2 p.m. inside Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldog Stadium.

The Aggies have had consistent success against the Pioneers over the past two years by beating them 62-21 in 2013 and 67-14 the year before in addition to an overall record of 7-4-1; however, they will face a better Wayland team this year. The Pioneers have shown some drastic improvements this season and should be ready to challenge the Aggies yard-for-yard.

The Aggies have been averaging 510.6 total yards per game as they have coated the season with multiple broken milestones. Quarterback Caleb Holbrook is currently knocking on the door of 2,500 passing yards, and running back Chris McClendon continues to pound the rock as he sits with 1,115 rushing yards on the season. The Aggies lack only 22 points to reach 400 on the season, which shouldn't be a problem at the rate the team is producing.

Head Coach Russell Gaskamp is well aware of the team's position going into the game by mentioning that the team is disappointed in last week's loss to Langston and that they will have to play good football in all three phases of the game against Wayland Baptist who seems to be the most improved team in the CSFL. The Pioneers have done very well at the quarterback position as well as their defensive line.

Coach Gaskamp shared his expectations for the upcoming game by stating "When we started the year our only team goal was to win at least 7 games for the first time since 1984, and we are in a position to do that. We want to send our seniors out with a win and have momentum going into the off-season. Any time you win your last game of the year, it is a big deal. So we have a lot to play for."

The Aggie Nation is heavily encouraged to make the short three-hour trip to Plainview  to support the team for their final game. Give the seniors your all! WEAR RED! GET ROWDY! REV IT UP!
