Goodwell, Okla.—After a short break for final exams this week, the OPSU Aggie basketball teams will return to the courts before enjoying a little time off for the holidays.
The Aggie women will start off on the road this Saturday, Dec. 13 with a match-up against Northern New Mexico College in Espanola, N.M.; game time is set for 3 p.m. The men's team will host a game Monday, Dec. 15 against Bethel College in the Oscar Williams Field House with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
Heartland Conference play will start later in the week as both the women and men take their home court against St. Mary's University Thursday, Dec. 18 starting at 5:30 p.m.
Then on Saturday, Dec. 20 each team will play their final home game of the fall semester, taking on conference opponent Texas A&M-International; the women's game begins at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m. Aggie fans will enjoy a halftime performance during the men's game as the Meade All-Star Cheer Squad will show off a competition routine for the crowd.
Fans are reminded to bring non-perishable food items for the Aggies CAN Make a Difference food drive to all home games through Dec. 18. Participants will be entered into a raffle to win a personalized OPSU jersey and an autographed Aggie basketball; winner will be drawn at halftime of the men's game on Thursday. All games next week will be free admission so let's pack the stands and make some noise for the Aggies!
