Aggie Baseball Takes Two over Hillsdale Baptist

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Moore, Okla.—After a three-game sweep at home last weekend, the OPSU baseball team was fired up and ready for more as they traveled to Moore, Okla. and notched another two games to the win column against Hillsdale Baptist on Wednesday afternoon.

The Aggies announced their presence taking an 11-1 victory over the Saints in game one. Walker Rainwater earned the win, pitching six innings and allowing only one earned run.

Peyton Osbon went 1-2 brining in two runs on a hit-by-pitch and sacrifice. Three Aggies took it over the fence as Jordan Bernal, Nick Crosswhite, and Nicolas Zieniuk each crushed out a home run. Crosswhite led the team with three RBI, followed by Bernal with two. Zieniuk and Robert Montoya each brought in one RBI for the Aggies.

Junior Zach Tingen made his first appearance on the mound in game two and walked away with a 5-0 shutout win. In his seven innings, Tingen held the Saints to one hit and zero earned runs; he threw 14 strikeouts.

Once again the Aggie bats went to work as Peyton Osbon went 2-4 smashing a triple, and Sam Moreno hit a double and totaled two RBI in the second game. Jordan Bernal added two more RBI to the boards going 2-4, while Trey Wooten had 1 run and 1 RBI.

The Aggies have now won five straight moving their record to 5-7 overall. They will continue their travels this week as they head to Fort Smith, Ark. for a three-game series against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Friday and Saturday.
