Box Score Fort Smith, Ark.—The Aggie men went into Saturday's match-up against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith with a 2-23 record, while UAFS came into the game with an outstanding 20-5 record.
The game started as a back and forth battle, with each team trading baskets until the 3:34 mark of the first half. Fort Smith then went on a run extending the lead to 13 points by halftime (38-25).
Bill Lee had a good first half for the Aggies going 4-6 from the field with nine points at the break. For the Lions, Seth Youngblood had team-high 12 points in the first half. Miha Glavas and Alex Cooper both finished the half with eight points for UAFS.
UAFS went on a big run to start the second half bringing their lead up to 29 points (58-29) with 13:41 left on the clock. The Aggies trailed by a margin of at least 20 points for the remainder of the game, taking a 94-64 final loss to the Lions.
Z. Jones led the Aggies in scoring with 19 points;
Bill Lee added 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds giving him the double-double; and
T. J. Farrell finished with 10 points. For UAFS, Seth Youngblood had a game-high 22 points, while Alex Cooper totaled 16 points. Mytaa'h Crawford also had double digits scoring 10 points.
The Aggie men tip-off at home this week against Dallas Baptist on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. Their final home game of the season will be Saturday, Mar. 1 against Oklahoma Christian; seniors will be recognized prior to the game with tip-off set for 3 p.m.
