Box Score Thursday night the Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State University took on the McMurry War Hawks in a Pink Out game in support of breast cancer awareness.

McMurry came into the game with a 2-16 overall record and sitting 2-10 in conference play. The Aggies came into the game with a 1-19 record and 1-12 in the Heartland Conference.

The game started off with both teams trading baskets until McMurry took a seven point lead going into the half with a score of 31-24. Senior
Sarah Johnson led all Aggie scorers at the break with 11 points, and Keshia Collins also had 11 points going into the break for McMurry.Â

The Aggies came back to within three points at the start of the second half with back-to-back free throws by
Brittany Alavinejad, bringing the score to 33-30 in favor of the War Hawks. McMurry started to pull away slightly, going up by 10 points with 10 minutes remaining in the second half. Once again the Aggies rallied, this time coming within five points of tying the game; but the War Hawks closed out the game on a 14-7 run to take control and earned the win 62-51. The loss drops the Aggies to 1-20 (1-14). With the win the War Hawks improve to 3-16 (3-10).

Sarah Johnson again led the Aggies in scoring with 19 points. Game-high point goes to McMurry forward Keshia Collins who had 25 points; Collins also had a game-high six blocks. Ana Dominguez from McMurry and
Sharice Papaleo for the Aggies each had a game-high seven rebounds.

Charles Terry said this after the game, "We were playing their game, but bated hard late and still stayed in it. We needed to make shots and not turn the ball over and we did not."

The Aggie women are back in action at home Saturday, as they take on St. Edwards University; tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
