Box Score 3 Goodwell, Okla.—The OPSU baseball team celebrated their first conference victory Saturday afternoon as they defeated Texas A&M International 12-2 in game three of a three-game series.
The Dustdevils owned the day for Friday's double-header, winning game one 8-3 and game two 12-5, but
Spencer Long took the mound for Saturday's game and claimed that day for the Aggies.
Long went a strong eight innings for OPSU in game three giving up 11 hits with only two earned runs; he dished out three strikeouts to TAMIU and held the Dustdevils scoreless in seven out of the eight innings.

Robert Montoya each drove doubles in game three good for four RBI, and lefty
Trey Wooten smashed a triple in the eighth to end the game early giving the Aggies a ten-run lead.
Montoya, Aguirre, and Wooten each brought in two RBI in game three, while Bernal, Dudley, and Crosswhite contributed one RBI apiece.
The Aggies got off to a slow start on Friday, not scoring a run until the fifth inning in game one, and were held scoreless through the sixth in game two.
Sam Beattie led off the OPSU pitching crew in game one, going five innings and allowing nine hits and seven earned runs; Beattie notched seven strikeouts.
Adam Burke,
Dylan Chavez, and
Tom Parker also took the mound for the Aggies, but the loss went to Beattie for game one.
Freshman pitcher
Dylan Chavez started game two for the Aggies and went 2.1 innings after giving up nine hits and seven runs. Chavez was relieved by
Walker Rainwater for 3.2 innings and
Felipe Beltran came in to close out the last three innings for OPSU. Rainwater threw six strikeouts and Beltran punched out three.
Third-baseman
Ruben Aguirre led the Aggies in RBI for the weekend with four followed by centerfielder Peyton Osbon who totaled three. Wooten, Montoya and Crosswhite each brought in two RBI for the series. Wooten led the team in hitting going 4-8 with two runs scored.
TAMIU pitchers Jeremy Gonzalez and Abdel Rivera each added a win to their records; Ryan Williams collected a save in game two. Marty Bingham took the loss for the Dustdevils in game three.
Aggie baseball will travel to Hobbs, N.M. this week to take on the University of the Southwest in a double-header on Wednesday. The team will then head tot San Antonio, Texas for a conference match-up against the Heartland's number two-ranked St. Mary's University.
