OPSU Volleyball Down Two

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Goodwell, Okla. –The week for the OPSU volleyball team did not turn out quite as they had hoped, losing against Lubbock Christian University and the University of Texas-Permian Basin.

Thursday, Sept. 11 the Aggies lost against Lubbock Christian University: 8-25, 15-25, 6-25. Setter, Terra Madden had nice hands assisting every kill of the match. The Aggies had a team total of 31 digs; 13 of them coming from Megan Archuleta.

Two days later in Odessa, Texas the Aggies came up short against the Falcons of UTPB with scores of 15-25, 15-25 and 16-25. The Aggies began each match strong, winning the first point of each of the three games.  OPSU more than doubled the number of kills from their previous match, with Shaina Eddings having 11 of the 26 total. The Aggies' defense was also stronger this match with 53 total digs.

 The Aggies have a few days of practice to work on some things and then they are back at it with a tri-match at home against Southwestern Oklahoma State University and St. Edwards University. The tri-match begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 with a match against SWOSU and St. Edwards University. The Aggies will then take the floor at 7:00 p.m. competing against SWOSU. On Saturday, Sept 20 the Aggies will compete against St. Edwards at 11:00 a.m.
