Goodwell, Okla.—After a shootout loss last week, the Aggies are eager to round up the Bison from Oklahoma Baptist University and earn their first win of the season at Carl Wooten Field.
The Aggies were successful in beating the Bison on their home turf last year and plan on making that a continuing tradition this Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
With an undefeated 3-0 record the Bison will head into the game with high expectations; they are also currently ranked third in the nation offensively among NAIA-Division I teams. However, the Aggies are determined to ruin their winning streak using playmakers from last week.
The Bison will have to account for
Caleb Holbrook and
Zacari Lavender on the Aggie offense; the pair hooked up for two touchdowns against the Skyhawks, helping the Aggies bring in 574 yards of total offense. Defensively
Tanner Hallford will be a threat after racking up 14 tackles and two sacks in last week's game.
Saturday's game is sponsored by Epic Touch of Guymon who will be recognized at halftime along with mentoring groups from the Panhandle area. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the OPSU HALO group will recognize Hispanic student-athletes prior to kickoff.
Aggie fans can make a day of it and join the OPSU volleyball team for a Heartland Conference match against St. Edward's University at 11 a.m. in the Carl Wooten Field House.
Coach Gas and the Aggies will be looking for a victory against OBU, and encourages the Aggie Nation to come out for the game and WEAR RED, GET ROWDY and REV IT UP!
