Aggie Volleyball Prepares for a Busy Week

Goodwell, Okla.—An eventful week of volleyball is soon approaching as the Aggies will compete in two Heartland Conference games and the Aggies Challenge Tournament for a total of six games in three days.

The OPSU Aggies will start the season with a bang as they compete at home against the number one and number two teams in the Heartland Conference. The first conference match will be against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, the number one team in the Heartland Conference, on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 6 OPSU will compete against the number two team, Dallas Baptist University, at 12 p.m. in the Oscar Williams Field House.

"This week will really show us where we stand in the conference," stated head coach Mike Stephens. "This is the strongest defensive group we've ever had; we just have to work hard to overcome some late roster changes. Regardless of how things go on Thursday, our main goal is to win the tournament."

Friday, Sept. 5 the Aggies Challenge Tournament begins at 10 a.m. and there are games at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. with the Aggies competing at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 6 the tournament games are at 9 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. The Aggies will compete in the Heartland Conference game at noon and the tournament games at 2 p.m. and again at either 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. depending on their seeding in the tournament.

It is going to be an exciting week of volleyball! Join the fun in Oscar Williams Field House on Sept. 4,5, and 6.
