Box Score 4 Goodwell Okla. –The OPSU Aggie volleyball team had a long weekend, competing in the Aggies' Challenge Tournament Friday and Saturday, as well as a Heartland Conference match against Dallas Baptist University. The Aggies did not end up with quite the results that they had hoped for, but they did take away experience and worked out some kinks.
The Aggies' first match Friday was against the University of the Southwest and ended with OPSU winning one set 25-21 and the University of the Southwest winning three: 25-22, 25-19, and 25-20.

Tayler Burzette lead the team with kills having a combined 23 out of 37 total. Libero
Megan Archuleta contributed to the team having 15 digs and four service aces.
The second match was against the visiting Southwestern Christian University. The Aggies took the first set 25-22, but again came out with 1-3 loss as the Lady Eagles finished strong winning three straight 25-19, 25-19, and 26-24. The Aggies started off strong and fought to regain the lead, but it did not end as planned.
Julia Ibarra's defense greatly contributed to the team with 19 digs for the match.
On Saturday the Aggies began with the Heartland match against Dallas Baptist University, the number two team in the conference. The Lady Patriots worked quickly, besting the Aggies in three sets: 25-16, 25-18, and 25-15.
The tournament resumed with OPSU taking on an undefeated St. Gregory's team. The Aggies were up and down throughout the match and fell short losing in three 25-17, 25-13 and 25-20.
Without a break the Aggies played in the consolation match against Southwestern Christian University. They were determined, but came up short losing 0-3 with scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-9.
Overall the Aggies played hard and ended the week with a remarkable 209 total digs, 131 kills and 29 serving aces. The team will compete on the road until their next home on September 19 when they will host a tri-match against St. Edward's University and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
