Gear up for a great weekend outdoors with Aggie baseball and softball as they open Heartland Conference play at home Mar. 6-7.
Goodwell, Okla.—The forecast is a sunny one as both the Aggie softball and baseball teams are set to open Heartland Conference play this weekend on their home fields.
After a few weeks of game cancellations due to sloppy winter weather it's time to break out the ball caps and pack the stands for OPSU Softball's first home games of the season. The Aggies will take on conference opponent Rogers State beginning with a double-header on Friday, Mar. 6 at 1 p.m.; the teams will meet up again on Saturday at Noon for game three. Aggie softball currently holds a 6-9 overall record and Rogers State sits 1-7 for the season.
Aggie baseball will play their first Heartland games this weekend as well, taking on the top-ranked University of Arkansas-Fort Smith who sits undefeated with an overall record of 7-0 and a 1-0 conference record. Friday's double-header begins at 1 p.m. with game three starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The Aggies own a 1-13 record for the season.
