Box Score 2 Goodwell, Okla.—Aggie Basketball will return to the Oscar Williams Field House this week after spending the last few weeks in travel mode. The women look to bounce back from Saturday's road loss to Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. (63-77), and the men are coming off a Heartland Conference loss to Dallas Baptist (78-105), also played on Saturday.
Rockhurst averaged 36.8 percent in shooting and landed 9-22 three-point attempts; the Lady Aggies only managed two long-distance shots and averaged 35.4 percent from the field.
Tatyana Bell led in scoring for OPSU with 19 points and went ten for ten from the line. Mary Dineen led the Lady Hawks shooting six of nine from the field, five of six from three-point range and four for four from the line for a game-high of 21 points. The Aggie bench outscored Rockhurst 30-20 led by
Johlicia Williams who totaled 14 points.
The Aggie women were outplayed at the boards 47-30 by the Lady Hawks who earned 24 second chance points to OPSU's six.
Hannah Whitaker did her part for the Aggies bringing down five offensive rebounds and three defensive boards for a team-high of eight total rebounds. Rockhurst's Haleigh Cindrich earned a game-high with eleven rebounds and notched a double-double with eleven total points. Rockhurst improved to 7-2 on the season and currently sit fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Western Division. The Aggies fall to a 1-10 overall record and will re-enter conference play this week with two Heartland games, playing Oklahoma Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Newman at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Competing in Texas the Aggie men fell to a, then, 6-4 Dallas Baptist team and gave the Patriots their first conference win of the season. Despite five score ties in the first half, the Aggies were unable to pull ahead and left the court down 42-55 at the break. OPSU had a 50 percent shooting average after the first twenty minutes of play, but DBU shot at 58.82 percent and hit 60 percent of their three-point targets (9-15) and 100 percent in free throws (6-6). Second-half shooting dropped for both teams and the Aggies finished the game averaging 47.2 percent from the field while the Patriots averaged 56.3 percent. OPSU outscored the Patriots in the paint 30-26 but were beaten from the bench 22-26.

Antonio Manns, Jr. scored nine points on six free-throws and one three in his 23 minutes of play for OPSU. DBU's Myles Johnson scored 26 points, including six three-pointers, for the game-high. Tim Simmons held the game-high in rebounds taking seven boards for the Patriots and
Dedrick Shannon, Jr. led the Aggies in rebounds with five. Shannon also led his team in assists totaling six; DBU's Amari Bryant led the game with seven assists.
The Aggie men take to their home court Monday, Dec. 4 for a matchup against NAIA opponent Bethel College; tip-off is 7 p.m. The men's team will resume conference play Thursday with Oklahoma Christian and Saturday with Newman; game times are 7:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.
