Goodwell, Okla.—It's Homecoming time Aggie fans! This Saturday, Oct. 15 the Aggies will kick off at 1 p.m. against Lone Star Conference opponents West Texas A&M, but the fun will kick off way before that!
Alumni registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. inside the Oscar Williams Field House. Aggies of the past and present can then take a tour of the University House right next door starting at 10 a.m.; an open house is being held to show alumni, students, faculty and staff what exciting changes are in store for the historic home of the university presidents.
Line-up for the Homecoming Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot located on the south side of the Noble Activity Center and the parade will start moving through campus at 11 a.m. The Alumni BBQ hosted by Seaboard Foods will take place in the new tailgate section east of Carl Wooten Field at 11:30 a.m.; but fans are invited to start tailgating as early as 10:30 a.m. Tailgate guidelines are posted in the Inside Athletics tab on the opsuaggies.com website.
The main event will start at 1 p.m. when the Aggies meet with the West Texas Buffaloes inside No Man's Land Stadium. Coach Gaskamp is looking for a loud and rowdy crowd to pump his team up for their first LSC victory on an extra-special Homecoming Day! Inside the stadium fans will be treated to free mini footballs and spirit poms which will be given out at the entry area while supplies last. Homecoming royalty will be crowned at halftime after a special presentation to this year's honored family, the Silveys.
Saturday's Homecoming game is sponsored by Tri-County Electric Coop and is sure to be a fun-filled, action-packed day to remember. We want to see "How Red and Blue Are YOU?", so show up covered from head-to-toe in your most Aggie'd-out attire and as always, WEAR RED, GET ROWDY & REV IT UP for your Aggies!!!
