The Aggies were allowed just one hit in Friday's game one and scored their only run in the first inning by reaching on an error and advancing on a sac bunt and a ground-out; the lone hit came from B.J. Henry who singled in the fourth but was left on base by a double-play. Pitcher Adrian Lopez led off the series for OPSU and went 5.0 innings in game one taking the 1-3 loss on seven hits and three earned runs; he served up three strikeouts while on the mound. Lopez held hitters at bay through three innings, but gave up all three runs in the fourth inning on two homeruns.

UTPB earned the shutout victory (8-0) with nine hits in the nine inning matchup. Henry came through at the plate hitting two singles in game two but was caught stealing in the second inning and left on base with a strikeout in the seventh; Joseph Cerda had the only other hit for OPSU in game two, a single in the seventh that stayed on base with Henry.

A lead-off double in the bottom of the eighth prompted a pitching change by OPSU. Dallas Guerrero came in for Hubler with no outs and one runner on base; Guerrero gave up the final run on a sac fly, but Hubler took the loss on eight hits and three runs (two earned). Joseph Cerda, Dehryen Noriega, Cody Dion and Derek Stallworth each hit singles for the Aggies in game three.
