Oklahoma City, Okla. – Oklahoma Panhandle State University softball players Kaylor Battiest (Tulsa, Okla./Berryhill H.S.) and Kayli Grove (Norman, Okla./North H.S.) have been named as the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Players of the Week, it has been announced by the league office. The Aggies (29-19) went 4-0 last week, sweeping Bacone College
 
Battiest, a junior transfer, went 2-0 from the circle on the weekend series to earn the SAC Pitcher of the Week award. Battiest tossed complete games in the first and last games of the set, hurling a two-hitter on Friday and a one-hitter Saturday. She had a 0.00 earned run average, permitting the Warriors just one unearned run. She struck out 17 batters total.
 
Overall in 2019, Battiest improved her personal record to 15-10 and lowered her ERA to 2.34 for 158.1 innings pitched. She leads the entire NAIA in saves with 10, and is also one of just a handful of players in the NAIA who did not commit a fielding error the entire regular season.
 
Grove, a sophomore firstbaseman, had a dream weekend with the bat to receive the SAC Hitter of the Week honor. Grove went 6-for-10 at the plate, with all six of hits going for extra bases (three doubles, two triples and a home run), to give her a lofty 1.600 slugging percentage for the series. She drove in a total of eight runs, including a five-RBI performance in Friday's second game.
 
Overall in 2019, Grove is batting .345 (49-for-142) and leads the team in doubles (16) triples (5) and homers (4). She is also second on the club in RBI (38), while scoring 33 runs and drawing 13 walks.
 
Battiest, Grove and the rest of the Panhandle State teammates will begin play in the SAC post-season tournament on Thursday. Site and times are yet to be announced.
