BETHANY, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Women's soccer team traveled to Southwestern Christian University for their latest match. It was eventually Aggies falling to the Eagles with a final score of 1-4.
The Aggie offense came out strong, scoring first at the nine-minute mark by Sophomore
Regan Ake (4). However, the Aggies would not be able to hold off the Eagle offense for the remainder of the game, as they answered back with one goal in the first half then another three in the second. Despite offensive woes, a bright spot for the Aggies is goalkeeper
Mya Szymanski. She held down the box for all 90 minutes and finished with 12 saves in the match.
Head Coach
Josh Davis would say "today was a tough one! We played well but heavy legs got the best of us today. The level of intensity and work rate this team puts in is great! I continue to be excited about the future of our program and our players! Go Aggies!"
The Aggies continue on the road to Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to face John Brown University Monday, Oct. 18th, before heading back home to meet the Texas Wesleyan Rams Friday, October 22nd.
