GOODWELL, Okla. – Oklahoma Panhandle State University softball dropped a tough doubleheader to the NAIA's No. 4-ranked team, Oklahoma City University. The Aggies (5-15, 3-9 SAC) fell to the Stars (12-2, 5-0 SAC) by scores of 5-2 and 7-2 at Aggie Field.
In game one, OPSU banged out eight hits.
Camryn Pryor and catcher
Kaitlyn Lord each went 2-for-4, with a run batted in. Pryor also scored one of Panhandle's runs.
Pryor, along with
Kayli Grove (1-4) and
Caitley Adams (1-2), each had a double. Adams was also hit by a pitch twice.
Kinzie Jones and
Brissa Rivera has the Aggies other two hits.
Kenley Yocom went 6.1 innings and struck out four Stars. Yocom was charged with four earned runs.
In the second game, Pryor went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Grove also collected three hits (3-4), including a double, scoring once.
Alyssa Ramirez and Rivera each had singles, as well.
Sarah Conley went the complete game for OPSU, allowing 12 hits, in taking the loss.
