OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla- Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) Aggies competed in a double-header versus the Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars, Saturday, April 24
th. A weather and field conditions delay moved the game to a 5pm start.

Game one saw a strong Aggies defense prevent any runs on the scoreboard for the Stars through the first 3 innings. The Stars, ranked #2 in NAIA softball, rallied for 2 runs in the 4
th  until the Aggies halted their efforts.

Aggies were unable to put together a run game, however, amazing effort in the top of the 4
th, by
Jaylinn Reyes reached first on a walk and,
Camryn Pryor reached first on a fielder's choice.

Game two the Aggies came out strong with a single grounder to second by Reyes. Next at bat was
Kayli Groves, who hit a dinger and reached first on the fielder's choice advancing Reyes to second. However, the Stars stopped the Aggies momentum with a forced out and a quick double play. Â The bottom of the 1
st, the Aggies held the Stars to a scoreless start.

The top of the 2
nd inning,
Brissa Rivera (5
th year Senior, infielder) single to short led the Aggies to a possible run. Unfortunately, OCU's pitching stumped the Aggies hitters and led to a quick two outs following. OCU got on the board at the bottom of the 2
nd inning with a double on a 3-2 count scoring one run. OPSU defense regrouped and helped shut down OCU leaving one Star on base.

Kenley Yocom (Freshman) started for the Aggies, pitched four innings, striking out two and walking zero. She surrendered five runs on nine hits over the four innings.
Jordyn Sanford (Sophomore) came out of the bullpen for the Aggies throwing the last two innings.

Reyes led the Aggies today at bat, with two hits on three at bats.

Aggies will be back in action, April 25
th verses Southwestern Christian University at Bethany, Oklahoma. The double-header starts at 2pm and 20 minutes after the game 1.
