MCPHERSON, KS- The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggie Softball team competed against Central Christian Tigers in a double-header. The Aggies ended the day splitting with the Tigers.

The first game the Aggies game out on fire, producing three runs. The Aggies kept that lead until the Tigers tied it up bottom of the 4
th. The game continued to remain close and it was tied up 4-4 going into the top of the 7
th inning.  The Aggies were able to out-hit Central Christian nine to six.
Kaitlyn Lord,
Brissa Rivera, and
Kayli Grove produced for the Aggies, each having multiple hits and on base. The Aggies stayed in it until the end, however, the Tigers were able to produce a late scoring run to defeat the Aggies 6-5.

Sarah Conley led the Aggies in three innings, allowing only three runs on two hits and striking out three. Relief pitcher
Rebecca Ortiz, threw the remaining innings.Â

The second game began with Senior Â
Brissa Rivera brining in a runner. The inning ended with the with one run for the Aggies, and zero for the Tigers. It wasn't until the top of the third inning when the Aggies were able to score again putting the Aggies up 2-0. Unfortunately, the Tigers were able to put a play together and score two runs, tying it up 2-2. The rest of the game was tight with great defense by the Aggies. Led by pitcher
Kenley Yocom who surrendered four runs on seven hits over seven innings, and striking out three Tigers. The Aggies grabbed the lead in the seventh inning to secure the victory over the Tigers. Key performances by
Kayli Grove hitting a homer in the third inning and,
Kinzie Jones' dinger in the seventh inning contributed to this win. The Aggies had a total of 10 hits in the second game lead  by hitters Grove and
Caitley Adams.
