Hillsboro, KS - The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Women's Soccer team headed over to compete against Tabor College, in a portion of their 2021 campaign on Saturday, August 21st.

The opening half was a battle with both teams struggling to generate an offensive upper hand. The Aggies matching Tabor College at every step of the way. It was not until the half, when Junior,
Rebecca Herriotts scored for the Aggies. Herriotts, great speed, footwork and contact led to a much-needed goal for the Aggies.

Midfielder Emily Elliot, a junior from Newkirk, Oklahoma provided stability, leadership, and great vision for the Aggies. Sophomore
Faith Cook showcased tremendous work rate, ball movement and, focus on each end of the field.

Tabor tied the game up at the end of the second half, sending the game into over-time. Both teams remained tied forcing a second over-time. Tabor was awarded a corner kick, forcing the Aggies into a defensive collapse. The Aggies appeared to take possession of the ball, however, they struggled to maintain control on the ball, scored own goal, losing 1-2 against Tabor College.

The Aggies demonstrated tremendous leadership on the field forcing Tabor into double over-time.

The Aggies will return home for the next competition, set for Friday, August 27
th at 7:00 pm versus Friends University. Â
