Aggie Football Victorious on Homecoming Weekend

GOODWELL, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggie Football team hosted Lions College, from Arkansas this homecoming weekend. The Aggies got the back-to-back wins, beating Lions College 35-6.
 
The Aggie offense got out to a great start and was on fire all game. Led by Quarterback Brandon Stephens, 16-22 for 265 yards and 3 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown. Jalen Partida completed a 36-yard pass from Stephen, putting the Aggies on the board. Javier Sinecio's kick was good, Aggies lead 7-0. Then, Stephens scored with 3:22 remaining in the 1st quarter; Sincero's field goal was good. The Aggies led Lions College 14-0 at the start of the 2nd quarter.
 
With 3:26 left on the clock in the 2nd quarter, Jamalrian Jones came up big for the Aggies and, had one receiving touchdown. Sinecio, completed the field goal, ending the half with Aggies leading 21-6.
 
The end of the 3rd quarter, 2:40 left on the clock and the Aggies score. Jones gets his second touchdown against Lion College, from a 13-yard pass from Stephens. The field goal was complete by Sinecio, and the Aggies finish the quarter with the score 28-6.
 
Aggie offense carried their momentum into the 4th quarter with wide-receiver, Daishawn Brimage, completed a 30-yard pass from Stephens, touchdown Aggies. Sinecio's field goal was complete putting the Aggies up 35-6. The Aggies completed the day offensively with 449 yards, compared to Lions College with 271.
 
The Aggie defense held Lions College to just 1 touchdown. Defensively the Aggies had 8 tackles for loss and, a single fumble recovery.  Linebackers D'Quan Charles and Kameron Dickerson each had an interception. In addition, junior, Armani Williams had one sack on the day for the Aggies.
 
Head Coach Bob Majeski stated "It was a great team win. All phases did an outstanding job. I am proud of our coaches and players."
 
The Aggies hit the road for the next game against Louisiana College, 2pm on October 2nd.
