GOODWELL, Okla: The Aggies cross-country team picked up a different meet this past Friday as they went to Hobbs(NM). 

Both teams qualify, men's 9th and women's 6th.

Top performers for the Aggies would be Freshman Bonita Gray, who would finish 24th with a time of 21:00 min, and Sophmore Justin Duran with a time of 27:44(33rd).

Behind Gray was Azucena Carillo with a time of 23:51(45th). Clarice Cain would finish with a time of 23:58(47th), while Patrica Gray would finish with a time of 25:20(50th). Abbey Goode would come in a time of 26:17(52nd), Amanda DeLeon would end with a time of 28:02(53rd), and to round it out, Veronica Ray with a time of 34:01(54th).

Behind Duran was Gus Fields with a time of 29:40(51st). Arturo Vallejo would finish with a time of 31:22(59th). Jari Cruz would end with a time of 32:27(62nd). Carlos Flores finished with a time of 33:16(63rd), and rounding it out for the Aggies was Landry Coble with a time of 36:03(6th).

After the race, coach Naomi Murrel shared, "It was a competitive race, and a good experience for our teams. Gus Fields, Justin Duran, and Arturo Vallejo set new personal bests for the 8k distance".
