GOODWELL, Okla- The Aggies Men's Basketball team ended their 2022 year against Wayland Baptist University Thursday night.
The Aggies would manage to get one lead change from a layup from Sophomore
Woody Therenciel at the 18:03 mark. The Aggies would keep the Pioneers close before they would go on an 8-0. At the 8:45 mark, Freshman
Enock Rosil would hit an excellent-looking jump shot, scoring 16-21 Pioneers. Pioneers would find a path going on an 11-0 run and not look back.
After the game, Coach Laird shared, "Once again, being shorthanded was too much to overcome. Wayland is a very good team and very well coached. We knew that we could make too many mistakes in order to give ourselves a shot. We need this break to get refocused and get the rest of our guys added to the mix. It's been a rough semester, but we are very hopeful about what's to come in January and February.
Senior
Rayquan Elliott led the Aggies with 21 points with one steal, and Junior
Justin Pile would add 12 points, including seven rebounds, 6 of them being defensive.
The Aggies managed to get 25 defensive rebounds.
The Aggies will be back at home as they face Oklahoma City University at 7:45 PM.
