GOODWELL, Okla. - Oklahoma Panhandle State University Athletic Department would like to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in serving the United States Armed Forces. This Memorial Day, our deepest gratitude goes to the fallen men and women who gave the people of America a chance to make the world a better place. 

It all began when Memorial Day was honored on May 30th, 1868 after the end of the civil war. After WW1 and WW2 they made Memorial Day an official holiday for those who sacrificed their lives in the United States of America. We take a moment as a University to remember and honor our heroes.
