FORT WORTH, TX. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggie Volleyball team faced the No. 21 Texas Wesleyan Rams on Saturday afternoon. The Rams, 8-2 and 2-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference, took on the Aggies 9-3 and 2-1 in the conference. The Rams were victorious against Wayland the night before. In addition, the Aggies are coming off from a tough loss from No. 13 Southwestern Assemblies of God.
The Aggies faced an uphill battle for the majority of the contest. The Rams led most of the matches with occasional ties or lead changes. The Aggies hit.063 compared to.197 for the Rams. Due to aggressive serving, dominant blocking, and fantastic defense, neither team was able to perform up to par on this day. Fans witnessed a game that was filled with lengthy rallies.
Freshman
Bryanna Rosario had seven kills, hitting .250, and had eight digs. Senior
Essence West had ten kills, hitting .171, and had nine digs. And junior Joelle La Force had four kills and hitting .133. Juniors
Gracie Soza led the Aggies with 15 digs and
Remi Vargas with eight digs. Senior setter
Lesly Galarza had 20 assists and seven digs.

The Aggies will play Wayland Baptist in Plainview, Texas, on Tuesday, September 13 at 7 p.m. The Aggies will then host No. 31 John Brown at Anchor D. Arena on Friday, September 16 at 6 p.m.
