Goodwell, Okla- it was a spirited effort as the Aggies women's soccer team (1-3) lost 0-2 to Howard Payne University (4-1-1) Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies played a defensive 1st half against the Jackets. The Aggie defense faced five shots on goal in the game's first ten minutes, not allowing a goal. Aggies
Bonita Gray and
Dayana Murillo would combine for the four shots on goal.
In the second half, at the 58th minute, Howard Payne would get on the board, making it 1-0. At the 82nd minute, the Jacket's score sealed the game, making the score 2-0.

After the game coach Camperell stated "OPSU women's soccer dropped a hard-fought match to Howard Payne University on Saturday by a score of two to zero. The team worked hard going into half time with a score line of zero to zero. However, the team succumbed to the conditions of the match (heat/ roster numbers)".
The Aggies as a team finished with seven shots on goal, one corner kick, and called for three fouls.
The Aggies will be on the road this Monday to take on The University of the Southwest University at noon.
