GOODWELL, Okla-The Aggies men's basketball team capped off a three-game road stand as they faced Wayland Baptist University Tuesday night.
In the first half of the game,
Woody Therenciel would score the first points of the game for the Aggies at the 19:26 mark. Junior
Justin Pile would give the Aggies the lead 4-3 by knocking both free throws. Freshman
Fedja Cukle would get the Aggies lead up to 3 from a great layup, and the Pioneers would respond, going up by one at the 16:44 mark until
Justin Pile would give the Aggies the last lead of the game, going up 8-7. The Pioneers would close out the half going up by 15 and wouldn't look back, making the final score 67-103.
Junior
Justin Pile led the Aggies with 16 points and eight defensive rebounds. Sophomore
Kaleb Stephens finished the night with 15 points and 2-3 from the three-point line.
After the game, coach
Mark Laird shared, " We had three guys out sick and two others out with injury tonight. Only had seven we could suit up".
Aggies will be home on Thursday, February 2nd, as the battle with Langston University tip-off will be at 7:45 PM.
