On a picture-perfect Senior Day at Anchor D Stadium, the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Men's Soccer team celebrated the careers of four outstanding senior players: Frank Mutandi, Aaron Smith, Daniel De Mello, and Ntandoyenkosi Tshuma. With their coaches, teammates, and friends by their side, these remarkable student-athletes were honored for their dedication and contributions to the Aggies' soccer program.The matchup was agaisnt Texas Wesleyan University.
The game got off to an exciting start, with the scoring commencing in the 26th minute as David Vargas netted a goal, brilliantly assisted by Mauricio De Santiago, following a corner delivered by Bryan Riojas. Just moments later, Mauricio De Santiago continued sharing the ball by setting up Darrel Yetedj for a spectacular goal in the 28th minute, putting the Aggies ahead 2-0. The halftime score remained unchanged, setting the stage for the second half.
In the 53rd minute, the Texas Wesleyan Rams managed to find the back of the net with a goal from Pablo Bances, narrowing the gap to 2-1. However, the Aggies were determined to maintain their lead. Frank Mutandi stepped up in the 55th minute, delivering a goal that extended the Aggies' lead to 3-1.
The Rams managed to score once more in the 77th minute, but the Aggies' defense held strong. With a final score of 4-2 in favor of the Aggies, the team and their fans had much to celebrate on this special Senior Day.
