GOODWELL, Okla-The Aggies softball team hosted Langston University Friday afternoon and would take both games on Friday (10-2) and (16-2).
Game One
Senior
Sarah Conley took the circle for the Aggies, and the righty went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out seven.Â
The Aggies got things started in the first inning with an error-scored run for the Aggies.
The Aggies scored four runs in the third inning;
Kaitlyn Fanning,
Nicole Peralta, and
Chloe Browning got batted in.Â
Senior
Brielee Daniell would hit a home run in the 2nd inning, and Junior
Bryerly Avina had a home run in the fourth inning.
The Aggies managed 11 hits as a team.
Game Two
Junior
Kenley Yocom toed the rubber for the Aggies.Yocom pitched the Aggies to the win allowing six hits and two runners over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Sophomore
Rylin Baker came out for relief to toss one inning.
Sophomore
Haley Saur scored on an error from Lion's infield in the first inning, and
Bryerly Avina tripled in the inning, scoring
Meagan Bellar, making the score 4-2.Â
Aggies tallied two home runs from
Brielee Daniell and an inside-the-park home run from
Bryerly Avina.Â
The Aggies finished with 11 hits and six stolen bases.Â
Aggies will play two more games on Saturday, March 10th first pitch will be at noon.Â
