GOODWELL Okla-The Aggies warped up their weekend series as they faced Mid America Christian University Saturday afternoon. The Aggies did manage to split the doubleheader falling 2-9 and taking the second game 6-5.
Game One
The Aggies watched the game slip away, seeing the Evangels scoring eight runs in the first three innings. Senior
Sarah Conley and Junior
Kaitlyn Fanning would single in the first inning, scoring only two runs.
Junior
Kenley Yocom started for the Aggies, pitching one and one-third innings, allowing five hits, six runs, and walking one.
Sophomore
Rylin Baker and Junior
Toni Shawnee came out of the bullpen in relief.
Senior
Brielee Daniell led the Aggies with two hits in four at-bats.
Game Two
The Aggies defeated the Evangels in extra innings in the second game. Senior
Sarah Conley did it all for the Aggies getting the winning run across in the eighth inning, and also managed to pitch a complete game to get her eighth win of the season.
In the first inning, Junior
Bryerly Avina hit a sac fly to score the first run for the Aggies.
Junior
Meagan Bellar went 2-4 at the dish.
Three different Aggies recorded a stolen base during the game.
The Aggies will be home on March 24th as they face Southwestern Christian University first pitch at 2:00 PM.
