GOODWELL, Okla-The Lady Aggies softball team hosted Southwestern Christian University Eagles Friday afternoon in a two-game doubleheader but dropped 9-13 and 0-5.
Game One- Aggies collected 13 hits in the high-scoring affair. The Eagles finished with nine hits on the way to a victory. Aggies scored seven runs in two innings with two big hits from Senior Sarah Conley and Junior Meagan Beller, scoring two RBIs.
Sarah Conley started on the mound for the Aggies. Conley lasted five and third innings, allowing eight hits and ten runs and striking out eight. Sophomore Rylin Baker came in relief to toss one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Junior Meagan Bellar finished the game by hitting a perfect 4-4 at the plate. Senior Brielee Daniell ended the game for 3-4 at the dish, including two RBIs.
Game Two: In the second game, the Aggies would see themselves down early, 2-0, after the first inning.
Junior Toni Shawnee started for the Aggies. The right-hander surrendered four runs on six hits over four innings, striking out six. Junior Kaycee Torres and Junior Koral Sylestine come into the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning, respectively.
Five different Aggies recorded a hit during the contest.
The Aggies will look to tie the series with the Eagles tomorrow at noon.
