GOODWELL, Okla-The Aggies baseball team played a nine-inning game on Saturday afternoon, and the Aggies finished winning the game 8-5 and taking the series from Central Christian College.
Junior
Rafael Nolasco started on the mound for the Aggies, tossed four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits, giving up five runs, and striking out eight.
Freshman
Esai Torres came out in relief and pitched four and one-third innings, giving up four hits, and Torres got the decision, getting his first win of the season.
In the first inning, senior
Tucker Bond hit a double to score in Junior
Jeremy Dibartolomeo, tying up the game at 1-1.
In the top of the thirds inning, the Tigers would go up 3-1 from a deep two-run home run shot. The Aggies responded in the bottom of the inning with a double from
Tucker Bond to score a run making the score 2-3.
Jett Brown tied the game 3-3 from a sacrifice fly to score
Jeremy Dibartolomeo.
Tucker Bond would end up scoring on a wild pitch pushing the score 4-3 Aggies.
The Tigers would take the lead in the 5th inning on the double to go up 5-4.
Aggies bats reacted quickly to grab the lead in the bottom of the inning from a
Sam Bond double, scoring two runs to seal the game.
Jeremy Dibartolomeo finished the afternoon going three for three, including three runs.
Aggies will travel to Bethany, OK, on March 10th for a conference matchup against Southwestern Christian University, first pitch at noon.
